Information desk
An information desk is available in the main lobby of the airport. The reception staff can inform travelers and companions on their flight, their experience at the airport or the formalities. Do not hesitate to call on them.
ATMs, banks, exchange

Holders of international credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) or of cards delivered by local banks can withdraw money from the ATMs. These ATMs distribute Zambian kwacha banknotes (KZM). Banks and ATMs are situated in the main lobby.
Currency exchange operations and money transfers can also be done at any time.

VIP Lounge
Three lounges allow travelers to enjoy peace and comfort while waiting for their flight. You can enjoy internet, TV, free drinks and snacks, newspapers and many other benefits. The entrance of the IAPCO Club Lounge is reserved for passengers with a subscription card or paying entrance fees. The South African Airways Premium Baobab and Kenya Airways Simba lounges are reserved for passengers traveling in first or business class of some airlines.
Zambia has a number of 4G operators selling SIM cards and 4G USB sticks for fast and cheap internet access on your PC, tablet or phone. These sim cards are available and can be activated at the airport. The terminal also has several free wifi access including those of the lounges.
Stores and duty free shop

Many shops are available in international duty free area as well as in the main lobby of the airport. Books, international newspapers, souvenirs, jewelry, handicrafts, ready-to-wear, postcards and stamps, phone and electronics, perfume, alcohol and tobacco are proposed to travelers.

Post office
To send letters, postcards and parcels, for purchases of stamps and for receiving and sending money orders with Western Union, the ZAMPOST post office of Kenneth Kaunda international airport is open during office hours.

Police & security
Airport Police division is there to maintain law and order, prevent and combat terror attacks, any criminal offence and civil aviation cases within KKIA perimeter as well as surrounding areas. The division also provides safety to the airport communities and providing security to VIPs passing through Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Security officers also ensure compliance with international standards. You can call them to report any suspicious activity. In addition, we remind you that leaving luggage unattended can cause its destruction and prosecution against you.

Luggage wrapping

To strengthen and protect your luggage from bumps, scratches or theft, a paying luggage wrapping service is available in the check-in area of Lusaka-Kenneth Kaunda airport lobby.

Luggage scales
Each airline flying to Zambia impose a different baggage allowance. It is important that every traveler comply with those rules under threat of being required to pay excess baggage fees that can be prohibitive. It is therefore recommended to weigh your luggage before you get to the airport. However, it is possible to weigh them on the balances available at check-in counters in order to lighten them if necessary.
Cabin baggage
Just like checked baggage, cabin baggage must meet a maximum size and weight. Airlines propose in the check-in area boxes to check if your cabin baggage meets the standards. Some passengers try at the time of boarding to carry more or different bags that those validated at check-in. They are exposed to leave their bags at the airport or to pay excess baggage fees in addition to delay the takeoff to the detriment of all travelers.
Last minute tickets
Passengers who have not had the time to buy their tickets or have missed their flights have the option to purchase a ticket at the airport (at generally higher rates). Correspondents of different airlines and travel agencies can offer these services.
To ensure the comfort of its passengers and visitors, Lusaka airport offers a medical service for health emergencies. A pharmacy is also established in the main lobby to allow purchases of drugs.
If you require a wheelchair, please contact your airline in advance and they will notify us to provide a wheelchair for your use within the airport. In case of emergency, our staff are ready to assist.
Our staff are available to assist elderly/minor/disabled passengers. Typical services include check-in, carrying baggage, wheelchair assistance, etc. Please contact your particular airline to arrange for assistance.
Baggage disputes
In case of loss, theft or damage related to luggage carried by passengers or airport visitors, you can contact the baggage disputes situated in the main lobby.
Bars and restaurants

Lusaka airport has bars and restaurants in the main lobby, in the three airport lounges and in the boarding area. You can eat there or consume various beverages, soft drinks and mineral waters.
