Kenneth Kaunda airport certified safe

September 05 2018
CIVIL Aviation Authority (CAA) has certified Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) as safe, boosting confidence in the country's aviation sector.
Airport certification is a process by which a country can demonstrate that airports in its territory meet regulatory safety requirements on a continuous basis.
Civil Aviation Authority Director General Gabriel Lesa said the certification enables the attainment of a regional hub, which Zambia desires for KKIA in Lusaka.
“The development makes KKIA the first to be certified, out of the four airports managed by the Zambia Airports Corporation Limited that include Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula and Mfuwe Airports.
