L'aéroport International de Lusaka

L'aéroport international de Lusaka est le plus grand aéroport de Zambie. Son code international (code IATA) est LUN. C'est celui qui figure sur les étiquettes de vos bagages lorsque vous prenez un vol pour la Zambie.

Il a été rebaptisé Aéroport international Kenneth Kaunda, du nom du père de l'indépendance de la Zambie et du premier président de la République.

L'aéroport international Kenneth Kaunda (KKIA) est situé dans la capitale, Lusaka, à 27 km du principal quartier d'affaires. En raison de son emplacement central, l'aéroport est idéal pour servir de pivot économique dans la sous-région de la SADC .

Avec un peuple amical et un climat économique social stable, Lusaka est également une destination idéale pour les investissements, le tourisme, les conférences et les échanges commerciaux.

Ouvert en 1967, l'aéroport exploite ses infrastructures pour les vols intérieurs, régionaux et internationaux conformément aux normes et pratiques recommandées (SARPS) développées par l'Organisation de l'aviation civile internationale (OACI).

L'aéroport bénéficie d'une piste de 3,9 km (12,800 pieds) d'une largeur de 45m (148 pieds) et d'une orientation 10/28, d'une voie de circulation parallèle et de plusieurs liaisons de voie de circulation. La piste permet l'atterrissage d'appareils tels que le Boeing B747.

L'accueil des voyageurs au départ et à l'arrivée en font l'un des aéroports les plus agréables d'Afrique australe.
